Egypt in Brazil: Largest Egypt Collection in Latin America: Lost & Found

During my recent trip to Rio de Janeiro, I visited the site of the National Museum of Brazil, which tragically lost nearly 85% of its artifacts, including the mummy of Sha-Amun-en-su, in a 2018 fire. Despite this, efforts to salvage and restore the collection are underway, aiming to reopen by April 2026. The museum's revival symbolizes hope and resilience.
